There's an explanation a few pages back

Every horse you picked has to place (top 3 or 4 or sometimes 5 depending on the race) then you win money

Be careful on the placepot on days like today

Will only be first three on the triumph, and is never more than first 5

It goes off the official place terms on the races rather than company enhanced ones
