Ignore everyone mate. I didn't check insurance before I did mine. Just went in all guns blazing and did it. Now I've spent the past 5 months knocking bits off insurance. Ring brentacre and tell them you were quoted what ever your maximum amount you will pay is. And they will beat it. They quoted 2800 first then I told them hic quoted me 2100 and they came back with 1900 haha. Awaome company. Make sure you declare your big brakes and less seats and all that. Makes it cheaper

Only drove it down the road to test things! Thermostat housing is pissing it out with water so that needs a new gasket i think, bit tappy but hopefully do an oil change and sort that out, brakes are a little spongey so they need another bleed, and i can smell burning rubber! Think it may be the exhaust as tyres dont seem to be rubbing on the arches? :/ But what fun it is! Still got no speedo or indicator dash lights! i cant understand why because i wired the speedo up seperate?! :/

Yer you know it has 3 bolts, well the bottom one has water running out of it when cars running!? May just need a tighten up but will have a look in the light!

Just say you had a quote off someone for £1400 and then ring round 5-6 times each time it will get lower

Well ive got my insurance down to £3600 with flux! HIC are saying 4900 and i cant get a quote with Brentacre because i have no ncb :/ Guess thats the best quote im going to get :/

mate thats a just stupid amount to pay :/ you know i know its not the best thing to do but if i were you i would just say you "insured" for now until u can find a decent enough price tbh.. have you tried admiral ? thats who im with and there pretty reasonable
