If only Nani was wearing shinpads. Can anyone clarify if its illegal not to wear shinpads? I can't see anything in this thread about it.

CIA.

Can we all agree that seeing Nani run to the referee, look at his leg, fall over in agony, and then actually really properly cry was hilarious?

I don't need to look at it that way, if Nani had shinpads on it wouldn't have broken the skin.

IF JM, hadnt of been a cunt and deliberatly stepped into rooneys path it wouldnt of happened, what if rooney hadnt of moved in time, and fell over him, breaking his leg.

just admit, yes rooneys elbow was bad, and there's no place for it, but fuck me that was an awful challenge from a so called "international" defender

100%. I don't wish injury on anyone, but he really should have been wearing legal shinpads

He went down originally screaming. Got up to let the ref have a good look then went down again and started crying. Wouldn't have found it funny/good if he had just stayed down in the first place but he was looking to get Carra sent off. Stay down and let the ref get on with it.
