Anyone out there know how hard it is to fit a C25XE engine into a Corsa B ie. what would you need to modify in the engine compartment/on the actual engine itself, suspension mods, brake upgrades.

Also, what gearbox would be best suited to the job.

Any help listened to.

Hi there looked into this myself before i put a c20let in, fitting and wiring the engine is the easiest part but you would need to chop bulk head out abit to get tb and manifold in, you can buy the mounts of ebay wich is good, but then you have the problem of making the rear exhaust manifold fit around the steering rack as it hit/rests on it then joining a system up to the manifold it a case of engine out try that engine out try that if you get me, and make sure you get the rear alloy/steal manifold to fabricate not the cast one, as for brakes try and get hold of vectra v6 brakes 288mm ones they will work fine may just need to redrill the discs to 4-stud, suspension probs best off using coilovers as there adjustable, gearbox a f20 would work fine with standard corsa gearbox mount, or you could go for the f28 but its ££ tbh have to get fitting kits etc but you get 6th hope this kinda helps

yeh but v6's are heavy and tend to kick the back end out on conering and braking, id say just go for a c20xe simple to fit and easier conversion thats if your worried about turbos going or exhaust fitting problems with the v6

Can you get much power out of the C20XE without spending big money ie. without going into the £1000's?

V6 with F20 weighs the same as an LET with F28.

The V6 also has more weight hanging towards the rear,so theoretically,it will handle better than the latter.

Back end kicking out on cornering will be lift off over-steer.And under braking will be badly set up brakes.Or if you mean under braking going round corners, well you shouldn't be braking while cornering. Not heavy braking anyway.
