No thread on it so far and it starts in a few weeks. Well at least it's meant to, what do you think the options are if Bahrain is a no-go? Apparently the testing that's due to be taking place there at the beginning of March might be off too.

I will be furious if it gets cancelled but at the end of the day if it isnt safe for them to go there then its for the best.

Need to put my bets on for the season. Im torn between Alonso, Hamilton or Vettel for the title......

I don't think it will get cancelled tbh.

If Red bull are as dominate again this season then Vettel should win the title again. Although I have a feeling McLaren will be better this year so my money would be on Hamilton.

Although it's obviously not a great situation there at the moment the people are protesting against the government and thatks it.

Personally i dont think there's any threat at all to the drivers.

Should be a good season if McClaren have caught up a bit with the other 2

I'm looking forward to seeing what McLaren have done with their car this season, Renault (or Lotus Renault) should be good to watch too if their car is anything as good as it was on the last race of the 2010 season.

Current rumour is RBR are sand-bagging like crazy (not using KERS, not full throttle) in the tests, in which case it could be another decent year for them as the car looks pretty solid during current testing. Saying that, Vettel has a habbit of fluffing when the pressure is on and there area few other teams, Ferrari, Renault (interesting to see if FEE actually works), that look fairly strong.

Not sure about McLaren; i'm hoping they have a decent car (they should be alright on the KERS front, as the 2009 unit was pretty solid) so they can challenge RBR but they aren't exactly lighting up the tests. Hopefully they are just sand bagging.....

Very much looking forward to this season and seeing how the top teams will perform...particularly the Mclaren.

Would like to see a Mclaren win the title.

Would be a massvie disappointment if the opener is cancelled but the country obviously have bigger fish to fry imo

Really looking forward to this season, not least because I'm heading over to Singapore in September, what's even better is it's costing me absolutely nothing Hoping McLaren can make up for lost ground on RBR and a Brit is crowned champion, would prefer Button but would be happy with either!

Always a crap boring race anyway.

Just means a better start to the season two weeks later than planned.

They're saying Bahrain has been postponed rather than cancelled, but there doesn't seem to be any word whether or not it will be rescheduled. Although there is another test between 8-11th March at Barca, no doubt this has made a few teams happy especially McLaren who look like they could do with it....

Will be an interesting season for sure.

Pirelli tyre change could go one of two ways though, seems like the tyre degradation is absolutely massive and we might end up 4 changes in a race! If that's the case it'll just turn into a tyre saving mission rather than an all out race!

Could work to Buttons advantage give his ability to conserve tyres
