Looking to see if anyone can tell me wot cables i need for a rear disc conversion. Been told its not just normal corsa cables? Has anyone got the answer.

Does it pull up normal with a gradual tightness or is there nothing until it gets near the top? I used a normal corsa cable and put a piece of copper pipe at front of cable it locks the brakes brilliant but when i pull the handbrake up theres no bite untill near the top :/ so fitting a mk2 astra cable works how it should? Or will i be wasting my money? Sorry to gate crash
