Hi as the title says im looking to do an engine change on my vehicle as the engine had gone bang and im finding it hard to find a 1.2 8v lump does anybody know what differences will need different parts my old engine was the c12nz running the brown dizzy cap and i cant find one anywhere for under £200 im looking to either go bigger or change but what parts would needed to be changed??

I sold an 8v 1.2 not long back for 40 quid, i changed mine for an 8v 1.4 sri engine, shafts are same, mounts are same, exhaust is same, just needed to swap the engine obviously, engine loom, ecu (and chip and transponder if new engine uses one, mine doesnt) and fuel pump (if you swap for an MPI engine) easy

me and my dad did mine with no experience of swaps and no hoist
