Got up this morning to find a letter from HMRC had fallen through my door
Opened it with worry, and to my horror I find that I owe them £1500
Fucking sucmbag robbing bastards! Aparantly this is from my tax year 2008 - 2009 and I somehow must have been underpaying my tax. Gutted... not what I need right now, what a miserable start to my year BASTARDS!
So I read into it to find out how they come to this conclusion, to see that my sleepy eyes have read it wrong and they actually owe me that amount! FUCK YEAH!!
Aparantly there should be a cheque arriving in the next couple of days... awesome!
I've just ordered a load of AV equipment last week... if this had come sooner I'd probably have ordered better stuff. Ah well.... I'm now thinking I might buy an engagement ring and pop the question

I owe them about £400 but I can't afford to pay it. Will get round to it some day I'd imagine.

Can you ask them direct as well if you are due money back?

Don't they take it in installments over the next year?

Not sure... I guess so. They just did this without any prompting as I'm pretty oblivious to it all really - which I suppose is really bad practise.
