I think the only way to really tackle the scammer problem is through paid membership with a registered UK address on the account linked to bank account or paypal?
Gives you time to get on to it though - there have been people registered and spammed a bit and it's become obvious who they are and what their intentions are.

Paying on the other hand means nothing, even with a postal address and bank details, people still scam. And that can be with every new account they make. The 50/30 rule makes it more difficult to get a new id.

Doubt it. Not had my Corsa for about 3 years. Drive a Golf now so do all the Dub shows.
Like it here though as people are cool here and its a laugh.

To be honest, I don't think that having to be a member and have 50 posts would stop scammers completely. If anything I would imagine some would take advantage, as buyers have a false sense of security by it all. As it is now I am always weary of anybody selling.

I am gonna renew in the next few days, although wish I had done earlier as I will have lost pics now.

I really don't see much of a gain though by being prem tbh, just that you get an avatar And you seem to be spoken to with abit more respect. Prem lounge is nothing special really, but as Tom said, I feel asif I'm missing out on lady pics ha

Nothing stops it completely but that rule has helped.

It's tricky, £12.50 is peanuts but I find myself just renewing for the sake of it.

Webmail - don't use this at all, wouldn't fancy announcing to people that my e-mail address ends in @corsasport.co.uk TBH.

Insurance discounts - don't personally use these because the only companies that offer them quote me ridiculous prices in the first place.

Image hosting - good feature although there are a lot of free alternatives. Facebook for starters.

Extra u2u space - don't personally need it, obviously I'm not popular enough.

Avatar/signature - I personally view the site with avatars turned off so I'm indifferent about this feature.

Having said all of that, the site is very well run, there is always a lot of banter going around and although I don't really use any of the additional features, I will probably continue to support the site.

In summary - I don't think making it cheaper will bring any more premium users.

I went 3/4 years without being prem. The fact I check here every day and get no end of laughs from various comments means £12.50 is nothing.

I doubt dropping it to £10 would encourage many more to pay.

Don't use any features other than the lounge, avatar and sig.

Same. And I know it helps the site out a bit too. So everyone is happy.

Plus you would only use most of that stuff if you had a Corsa (stickers for example).
