To answer the thread, anything 60 onwards will be destruction. My Volvo is a bawhair faster than ST's and I fucking destroy XE's without any bother at all.

Exactly, I was quoted at 19 with 2yncb on a redtop declared with coilies big brakes etc was £960. Was cheaper for that than a standard 1.6 zetec s.

ask and racer, any real racer. It doesnt matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winnings winning just be careful you dont blow the welds on the intake.

well its a tough one really my xe corsa is quicker than my mk4 astra gsi i own both yet i kept up with an st in astra ages ago quite comfortably s i would say the corsa is just as quick....... bar top end

upto 80 odd you will eat it as my corsa eats my astra to 80....... 50-90mph id say astra beats my corsa slightly but cosw its off the mark the corsa is ahead and the astra has to make this up hence why its slower from standing start and i can see the same happening with the focus

end of the day mate who cares that guy is only smitten cos he feels threatened a shitty 2.0 corsa can smile in the face of a modern st that is all it is mate, i get the same at my work from a guy with a type r, he's still never come out with me though i just keep laughing saying 20 year old engine with 45bhp less and you still cant ;pull away hahahahahahahah he hates it

End of the day he still has the better car all round, your car has had an engine conversion and can only keep up with a 'standard' type r... I really want to race an xe in mine now

ur mistaken i NEVER SAID THE CORSA WAS A BETTER CAR...... ur arguing that one im stating performance which is the basis of the subject, if you wanna take econemy/toys etc into account corsa loses out big time i agree.

ur also mistaken at my point the corsa maybe MODIFIED but like i previously said its 80 odd bhp down on a st and 50 odd down on a type r with 20 odd years of service under its belt and its as quick as a modern day hot hatch thats my only point, that in my opinion deems cars have gone backwards in performance not forwards...........

id take you on in ur type r anyday son you have seem to have the same attitude as every other type r owner....................... 2.0 CORSA KEEP UP WITH MYYYYYYYYYY TYPE R DONT MAKE ME LAUGH IVE BIN TO MOON AND BACK YOU KNOW

shut up you cunt. how can you claim that cars have gone backwards when the redtop didnt originate in a corsa you thick twat.

Type R Civic would hammer whatever the redtop came from.
