your engine code will be the only thing they will change, you have to go into head office pay tax then they will change your cc and send v5 off again for you

The nets slowly closing in on a lot of things if you havent noticed, slowly but surely it will become really strict and costly, but you could look at it another way and say it will make sure the quality of builds are 100%, not that yours isnt archie i have every faith auld son

your always going to have back handers come MOT time but as the years go on and the rule get enforced more and more they will become few and far between, the exhaust thing has been popping up a lot more around other fourms i use so its a good example to see how it takes shape.

Make your own engineers report, they won't check to make sure the garage is real.

Or use the name of a garage that has shut down recently or gone into administration. Someone posted a link to a list of places that have gone into administration.

That way if they do check, they wont be able to contact the garage.

I'd be going that route tbh but would it work if they're saying he needs to get Vaux themselves to approve it?

Engineers report from vauxhall is only £30,had mine done a year ago.

Phone your insurance and ask them if they can send you a engineers report form out then just take it to vauxhall, its basically a mini M.O.T.

I was actually gonna ask about this.

My V5 says the cc is 1998 or 1996 (Cant remember of the top of my head) but the model hasnt changed purely just the CC.

Is that the only part of the v5 that is amended?

For example tax is full tax bracket so must be logged as 2.0 with them

Open yourself a word document. Create yourself a garage, i'd go with Archies Autos write a letter saying the conversion was done by this garage etc

Bobs your teapot.
