Was feeling bored and a bunch of mates had been talking about doing some laser tag in the summer in the woods, however I felt the guns I bought earlier in this thread were not up to the job and looked crap.
So I had a look what was out there these days laser tag related, the answer in the mainstream toy market not a lot.
However there was a laser tag set that was released circa 2007 that had a decent look and operation what I thought was cool.
Mainly what I was after something that looked a bit more realistic gun looking, and something that actually fired a red laser dot when you shot like the actual laser tag guns do so you can see where your hits are landing - these do that.
First thing was to track down a number of them second hand on ebay, managed to get hold of six which should be enough for a bit of a laugh.
Anyway they obviously still look a little crap especially in that bright paint so when they arrived took them all apart and painted them.
All 6 done
Then decided that I wanted scopes and shit on them so made up some alu rails for a standard 21mm scope mount
Holographic scope and flashlight for playing at night in woods
Should be alright for a laugh in the evenings when the weather gets better. Not much outlay either. Range on them is about 80 meters.
