Even if you did get money off you aren't going to get it for any less than 12k and I bet you'd struggle to get that. That'd near enough 4k off list of a 16k car?

So its still 4k less to lease it based on it costing 12k?

Ok I might have been wrong there, they have them for sale, pre-registered for £12k...

Well Arnold Clark have the petrol for 9495 brand new so the diesel for 10k after a bit of haggling is perfectly realistic.

£8k to "rent" a car seems madness to me? Money down the pan is it not.

But I suppose it depends on the situation etc.

Only time i would lease is if it went through a company account. A company just starting out and didn't have a lot of money to start with. Too many other decent deals around for personal use.

DITTO!

Total waste of money, you'd lose less money buying it out right and selling it at the end. Its not like its MEGA MONEY to buy, even if you took out a loan (minus the cash you've got) over a longer period (spit, spit) and paid it off when you sell the car you'll have some money left over rather than be left with fuck all.

48 month loan on £9k works out with the same monthly payments as the lease, so it probably makes more sense to pay part and loan the rest. Unless you've got a spare £9k

Much better idea!

If you buy a brand new car for £9k then in 3 years it will still be worth atleast half that if not more (being as its an economical hatch bacl which do not depreciate so badly) as opposed to wanking 9k down a PCP/Lease scheme and having ZERO at the end.

I only wanted to show you the car and now look

I would rather get a 58 plate 2nd hand one tbh but you don't get the deals unless you are cash buyer like when we bought the Astra and can haggle far more.

PCP is ideal when looking at depreciation when you definitely want a brand new car

Off topic but you keep posting about selling this but I saw your ad on here, not going to even get interest with no pictures. Just advertise the thing on Autotrader and stop moaning about it

Back on topic, 50 miles a day is nothing tbh, im doing 65 miles a day in a 1.8T and its not that bad.

I would just get a Corsa C 1.3 CDTi.

You will.. That will be 12k max. Vauxhall list prices are ridiculous, there just there to make folk think there getting a great discount.

I have to agree with that - We got our VXr for no where the list price - brand new and ordered to delivery - not something that was pre-resgitered

Point made. Add about a grand for the diesel. Makes that pcp deal look terrible

why do you want to own the car if you are changing it every 3 years? You pay the full price for the exact same thing someone leasing at less cost does
