lower it ! If your going less than 40mm and are on a budget shocks ain't esential and can always be added at a later date. Always thought tints were tacky but thats a preety good reason!

How old is the car ie how many miles on the original shox? And how long would you plan to leave it before upgrading to shox aswell?

If you have >50k on the clock id wait till you have both as the old shox will only last a month at best then its bouncy bouncy. And trust me a car with not enough dampening does not fill you with confidence when throwing it about.

Did 44k on my original shocks with a 60mm drop they we're pretty shagged when I took em off most aftermarket shocks that people buy are on a par or worse than originals anyway!

Except the big difference is Oil filled dampers vs Gas. Shortened stroke, and probably more durable not to mention better to look at.
