Well Microsoft Works actually, but near enough the same!

I have a spreadsheet with 2 columns. I have column A in alphabetical order and column B correspondes to each entry in Column A.

My question is, how do I update Column A and still have the correct corresponding entry in Column B?

I have done it before, I'm sure I have but I can't figure out how to do it.

Do you mean you have two identical columns?

If so, something like =A1 for the first cell in the second column, then drag the corner down to fill the other cells?

Probably not explaining this right

No, I have a list in column A and the list in column B correspondes with the data in A. So If I arrange A alphabetically it means everything in B is no longer in the correct order.

Are you joking? Highlight both columms and sort by whatever columm you want and it will keep the two side by side.

FFS! I was only sorting column A.

I knew it was really simple but I just couldn't figure it out

You can just sort column A, it will ask if you want to expand the selection, you press Yes
