I've been on the receiving end of it, I didn't go asking Ian to ban him but then he was insulting me not my (ex) missus so it wasn't exactly the same thing; but I did take a barrage of abuse, ultimately though, I got an apology and I accepted it and moved on - I don't mind the guy, its provided light entertainment to my day. I can't really see the fuss, just don't take comments across the internet to heart or give it back or here's an idea, ignore it. If it was ignored and people didn;t take the bait it wouldn't have escalated
