its got a 1.6 wait for it Nova GSi engine thats a 1.6 8v engine. but one thig have been wounderin about it is that if you juct slam your foot to the floor it accelerated quite normally. but if you put it half wayis quite gently and then when it get over half revs about 4500 you just nail it, it takes off as if its turboed and the boost just kicked in. its really notice able and i mean really. a mate suggested that it could have performance cams in. but is it just a strange caracteristic of the engine. its runnin with corsa sri short ratio gearbox, corsa fuel pump, corsa fuel rail and injecters. the fuel rail fitted better if the corsa pipes and the nova injecters were bloked and the corsa ones seemed to be bigger anyway.

just took two mates for a spin each and the first shouts FCUK ME!!!! as i accelerate out the car park adn he is grappling with the harnesses. adn the second spent most of the time holding on to the dash board and tellin me SHlT its quick... ha ha ha

its just strange the way it shoots off at mid revs its like your accelerating along and then someone going faster comes up behind ya and pushes you along

oh and the mate who is impressed with the acceleration drives a fiesta turbo with an escort spec T3 turbo (bigger) bigger injectors, cossie spec fuel pump, chip

yeah you got a longer 5th gear than me mines geared to do about 115 and yours 125. but its good for overtaking

yeah did on eover this moning on way to uni. every time they overtook somin i'd wait till they pulled in and then nail it and be past in half the time. got board eventually and just left em in a wave of 4th gear acceleration
