Thought I might as well document my new project.

I am building a mobile bar truck from an Iveco eurocargo 7.5T box truck.

I have a google scetchup on my Pc of roughly what it'll be like, I'll upload when I get chance.

Anyways, here's the truck:


Bit rough round the edges, but not bad for £950.

Tail lift and roller shutter came off easy enough.


Started drilling rivets out, but got bored after about 50 of them.

More pics after the weekend.

You gonna get a 24 hour license? Would be epic, just drive anywhere town centre like after the pubs close.

I will be tendering for all sorts of events, from car and bike shows to music festivals etc.

The actual Licencing hours etc will be applied for by the event organiser. I just hold the licence to sell the alcohol on thier temporary events notice .

Right, heres the scetchup.

First time i ever used it so its shit, but you get the idea.

Obviously its on a drawing of the box, no cab etc with not much detail.



Basicly the side will fold up into the roof, and a stage will fold out from the inside.

I'm not 100% on the steps design as yet, but ill cross that bridge when i come to it.
Rest is fairly simple, as a friend has a truck exactly the same which is just used as a mobile stage.

I'll take a proper camera with me tomorrow and sunday and get some decent pics.

will have a couple of tables on the stage area also+ lighting, heaters etc.

Plans for this weekend are:

Remove ally panels on one side.
Weld up the rotten bits.
Prep lower and upper frame to hold roof and stage on hinges.

Only thing with that is you will need to really work with the weight distribution

You can drive it on a C1 but it'll need an O licence if it's making money.

Update.....Kinda

Well, not much happened today. Heavy night last night.

Thought i best deal with this.....






Cut the rot off at the bottom and re-welded the plate inside




Did this both sides. Smoked a lot. Explained AGAIN to my mother (its at her house) how its all going to work. Drilled about 10 rivets out. Started it up and drove it about for 10min. McD's tea.

Took the ally sheets off today.



Massive pain in the arse since I haven't taken the ladders over yet.

Car is now full and off to weigh it in tomorrow.

Off to look at new sheeting for the side/roof tomorrow also.

Bit more dismantling to do yet. Then it time for the good stuff!

Update... Finally.

Done a couple of bits over the past few weeks.

Cut back floor and welded in some 100x50 box to hinge the stage off.




Welded in the upright etc for the piece that will run across the top and have the fold out roof hinged to.





Went over everything with red oxide etc

Got bored and did a wheel too.


Upper piece will be going in next. Then will start the staging and roof frame.

Will also be sorting the chassis etc with either paint or waxoil.

Finally another update.

Welded in a beam across the top to hold the side/folding roof: (Bad pic)



Extra Support in:



Knocked up the frame for the side/roof:



Which will have these ally pieces attatched next to make it a bit more ridged but keep the weight down.

Just gotta get that frame attatched to the upper beam.

Which is gonna be a pain in the arse! Might have to get the tractor out again and lift it up
