Right some one suggested a build thread on here so heres the cupra from the start....

Well been dying to get a project going...
Heres the car from the piston heads advert
She is on 50k miles and a pretty tidy on the outside, needs a few bits and bobs sorting but no rush, the inside is a ****ing disgrace but meh i got a good deal. The only mods are a k and n, cat back exhaust and supersport coilovers and some hids
First port of call was to fit a new driver side grab handle on the roof as it had been ripped off, then to replace the mirror in the sun visor which was cracked. i then painted the calipers, wound the coilies down a bit and put my gfs team dynamics alloys on as i hate the cupra 1s. had a busy weekend and gave her a quick clean and steam cleaned the seats as they where stained :whistle:
also de-wipered (still need a gromit) and de-badged and sorted out some bodge jobs.
i am waiting on some bits, leon cupra splitter, maroon camo fabric for head lining (its a mess) and some new mats.
going to see about getting the plastics colour coded tomorow and the grills will be done gloss black along with splitter and scuttle panel.

quick update, today the lcr splitter arrived aswell as some new mats and the camo for the roof lining.
went to see my mate aswell who manages a honda dealer bodyshop, been qouted 200 notes for the following:
repair and paint crease in qaurter above rear drivers side window
paint insides of the wings under the bonnet as the previous owner had a bra and its rubbed down to primer in places
colour code front and rear bump strips
repair and paint cracked jacking cover
paint the roof gloss black
paint lcr splitter gloss black
paint the wing mirrrs including bases gloss black
paint the front grills and scuttle panel gloss black
i think its an awesome price, also noticed the passenger side coilover isnt at the same height as the drivers so will adjust that at the weekend. also fitted some aero wipers of ebay.... pics of headlining at weekend unless i **** it up, material doesnt seem stretchy to me so dont know how that will go

bit of a quick update, spent a few hours today stripping the car for paint, fitting the leon splitter then removing it for paint, winding the rear coilys down.... sorry no pics. big update on the 16th, eyes peeled

the drivers sun visor mirror broken - replaced
sungases holder snapped off - replaced with handle
side plastics on seats are missing - need to find some
k and n not fitted securly and not sealed - re fitted
snapped jacking cover - getting repaired
fogs not even plugged in - fixed
hid ballasts just dangleing - secured
sure i will find more as i go but meh...
camo headling seems a no go, material that i ordered isnt really stretchy enough. time for a re think

had a quick shop done, very quick lol god knows why only 1 window is tinted and not the other rear lmao and yes thats a split in the tyre wall
however i love it, wheels dark grey me thinks

quick update.
my decat should be arriving today or tomorrow. its just 1 made from a standard down pipe for now, so i can get my wot box on.
ordered a forge split r - remachined 50 quid on ebay, can go wrong
also ordered some red 3mm hose so i can do 249 bypass and replace any other bits and bobs.
clean and polish at weekend and attempt to de grime engine bay ready for dv and bypass.... pics to follow

ffs, i just snapped a stud on my turbo trying to get the cat off, also found out the cat back exhaust is just a back box so turbo back will eventually be on the cards...

right so update time.....
first things first, some pics of my home made rear strut brace, plan is to get the front done black to match
also i have noticed all the crap in the boot... thats my standard decat downpipe, was supposed to be on the car but me snapping a stud on the turbo and two seized on its going to a garage to get sorted. whilst i was under the car i realised that my car didnt have a cat back but just a back box so a suitable replacement will be on the cards soon i hope. the standard downpipe will be fine for now because im leaning towards a k04 kit as they can be had cheap. heres the decat

yeah you got it n249 bypass (easyer than it looks tbh) hope its right and a forge split r, got mine set as 16 clicks as im unaware if the cars been mapped but seems fine tbh.
engine could do with a spruce up mind
pretty happy today after yesterdays nightmare.

quick update think ive got the split r set right its on 16 clicks. sounds better than id imagined. going to try and get a bit pipe to extend the k and n and get a recirc echo like my cai used to make on golf.
been on the net and realised i can get a middle section for my supersprint for 80 quid delivered.... got that ordered up. so hopefully vids with decat, race tube and wot box in the next couple weeks.
girl friend is going to buy me some hids for fogs or pressed plates for my birthday also

wot box is now fitted i cant get the hang of the ******* though lol exhaust is rattling like a bitch though so need this middle section from supersprint asap so i can sort it and get the full effect of the wot box.

rite update....
after supersprint have been taking the piss with my middle section ive since cancelled the order, now im going to mod my standard middle pipe as is knocking at the minute and blowing a tad, going to remove the middle box and shorten it slightly
bought some goodies on ebay tonight

h3 10000k hids for the fogs

cars looking sorry for itself half assembled aswell, once its back together going to do the doorhandle repair and get some new pics
also landed a apprenticeship with bt (subject to checks ect) so drastic drop in wages come september, mods may slow up a tad as need to pay cards off before i start then will just be skint due to shit wage

did some bits and bobs today... sorry shit pics
1. sorted out wot box wiring and fitted my boost gauge
2. fitted hids in fogs and put cupra badge back on grill
3. fitted pressed plates
4. gave her a quick wash
5. removed middle silencer and made some vids of wotbox/exhaust
best one
6. noticed some dents in wing that look like finger marks (another job to be done)

Lol jacked my car up the other day to find this, the tyres where evenly worn before fitting and this is after 2 months only....
two tyres like this on the insides, 6 points waiting to happen, in the mean time got these badboys on
the steel wheels will then be going on the kid nexts doors polo sprayed white with low profiles

id say the tyres are like that on the inside as its been lowered mate.There will be a fair bit of camber so youll do well to get some camber bolts to sort it from happening again.
