At the moment, I'm gonna do a few simple breathing mods (filter, exhaust, DV) then see how I get on. I'm unsure whether to go for a straight remap or I may go down the Stage 2 route (FMIC, boost pipes etc.)

Update:

So I've got a few more bits for my LCR over the past few months. I got myself a Pioneer MVH-8200BT headunit. Really pleased with it and the iPhone control works a treat

Also got a Forge 007p DV. Can definately notice the difference in full load rev range now. However its almost silent? After my last car, I've really missed that pure turbo sound but with this, its no louder than standard? Oh well.

The EML came on too. Had it diagnosed and it came back coolant temperature sensor. So got a genuine one of those and chucked it in, sorted!

and finally, I have a cracked windscreen. Gutted but its being replaced on Saturday under my insurance

Got my snow foam kit today. The lance is very well made and works a treat!

and in progress:

Cheers for looking. Jetex cone filter and Jabba heat shield are on order and should be on within the next 10 days.

007p is still a recirc valve so shouldnt be louder than standard. Should notice the difference with the cone filter on though.

Cars looking good

fit in the opposite way and it becomes louder

VAG actually fit the valves in reverse as standard for quieter operation according to forge

Update:

Last night I fitted my Jabbasport heatshield and Jetex filter. Nice simple job yes, unless you have a strut brace, then it puts a spanner in the works! Not to worry, just need to trim some of the headshield back to stop it fouling on the strut brace:

and after that was done, everything was a piece of piss so here we go:

It sounds spot on and its also nice to hear the 007p spring into life. I have it set in reverse. Performance wise, I cant notice any gains in throttle as such, if anything, it feels maybe less aggresive which I've never experienced before going from panel to cone filter? Maybe its just me.
I'll be going onto a new exhaust next then a new map of some sort.
Cheers for looking

Update:

Been meaning to do this mod since I bought the car. I couldnt find any mirror covers that were alreay made from carbon fibre so though Id have a go myself!

Bought some brand new covers:

and with some 'carbon' wrap, I had a blast. Not bad:

Then when I got the knack, I fitted them. Really happy with them and considering its not real CF, I think they look very good:

Any comments welcome

Looking good mate. I used to run a Forge Split R which is basically a 007p that makes the swoosh sound

Ye, I think its one of them unfounded rumours tbh, had my car RR'd and it made standard power (was standard car) and drove fine.

TBH I just took it as the VAG world being its usual stuck up self and not wanting the turbo sound on there cars which is certainly the impression given on Audi-Sport.
