Had the M3 for aroond 16 months now & deffo fancy a change/time is right.

Ive got funds in place now & pending selling my car should have around 25k to spend.

Got an advert made up for mine & plan to stick it on PH's next week when I get back from Germany, price it high & see where it goes, its in tip top condition & I hold on for sale.

Unfortunately I cannot afford a V8 ///M3 atm but im sure it will be something i'll have a fling with at some point in the future. Im kind of wanting to get away from that high cost to run (in terms of maintenance/servicing/bits that break) bracket of car for a while.

I like Focus RS lots, always have, I test drove one a few weeks back & it was awesome. Im also under serious pressure from Mrs J to get one (mainly because she will be able to drive it).

Im just......unsure. Its a lot of cash for a hatchback Ford.

Is nice though (I think anyway!!)

The one I test drove :

White one thats came onto the radar :

Theres always sillyness inside that steps in & says: get this 'Ford' instead :

I think Jade will batter me if I rolled up in that saying 'what its a ford' in lieu of a Green FRS

What else is good for that money??

Nothing thats going to cost £1k to service or 8k to rebuild.

Think I want something new-ish with a year or 2's warranty!!?

If I pondered as much I would have fired the idea off by now.

I talk about Monaros a lot and I want one, but I can't afford it so I stop dreaming until next time.

If you can afford it then just buy it. You obviously want to have a dabble and you've already weighted up the merits of driving a new car vs losing millions, sure we don't need to go over that.

My only advice would be green looks shit.

I really like the focus but if I had 25k to spunk on a car I would get one of these and keep the change;

Which is fine until it needs a set of suspension, exhaust & brakes all round all one after another & you end up paying out similar amounts to what could pay to have a sizable extension stuck on your house!!

save yourself some cash for the house, maybe a new sofa and TV, or a nice new pair of shoes for jade, and buy a R26 if you want that type of car

I think your right. Just trying to convince myself.

Ive been eyeing them up for the past 3 weeks.....finding out the crack.

Got some funds released to allow me to get one.

Made up a PH's advert for mine ready to make live.

Im deffo buying a new car....thats decided.

I just need to push myself along to make this purchase.

My anus is twitching also about getting one in the wrong colour, what if I get green then grow to hate it after a few months & get the 'what have I done' feeling!!

White seems to be 1-2k cheaper also atm

Need some guidance
