How much is my camber / toe / tracking likely to be out?

Planning fitting my coilovers this weekend, and then il have to drive 60 miles to where I stay for the week. And was planning getting it set up from a garage there sometime during the week but whats the chance of it being so far out that its likely to really affect driving / tyre wear? If so, il be waiting till im on holiday in 2 weeks time

only way i could fit my wheels without spacers was plenty of camber lol! so just gave the rear camber to suit haha!
tracking still needs doing but one tca nut wouldnt crack so just left it.. haha! dont bother me tbh doesnt feel far out, should really put it on tracker at work!

I've proved this. Got 3300 miles to a new set of tyres with how my Corsa used to be set up. Have Camber and Track set up mint now and it's a different car to drive.

Really? I know various people who have scrubbed tyres within 5 miles. VegasPhil on here for one.

are you talking about scrubbing arch or wearing out due to alignment? cause i would think wearing out a set of tyres in 5miles due to alignment would be just about immpossible

all coils should come with a wider top hole when bolting into the hub to try sort it out on the shock so you should be able to do it pretty straight anyway. just make sure your tyre has enough room and not touching the springs or that will be bad news. also if your tracking is out a little do it yourself. doing it by sight will be better than just leaving it and if your gonna get it done at a shop after anyway cant loose out

You think if your driving forward and your car is doing 2 metres every rotation, it's going to rotate a good few 1000 times in 5 miles, yes it wouldn't wear all the tread off, but if the toe is significantly out there will be a noticeable diffference.

yeah it will wear if its out that much. if he is capable he could set the toe roughly himself so it was atleast close

I did mine and slammed it didn't get my tracking done for 6months till my old tyres wore out,
Wasn't far out at all either.
You'll be fine.
And haven't touched my camber.
Tyres are wearing pretty darn even

do the simple solution. Fit it at standard height then before going to garage lower it how you want. Simple. As to wearing tyres in 5 miles. Sorry. Just no.

Whats the best way of gauging how much the coilovers are set to?

Im guessing to make sure both sides are the same you just measure the remaining thread and make sure its the same?

I didn't get my car setup at all after fitting coilovers, never scrubbed any tyres

How would that work ? the steering arm location will always be slightly different standard meaning depending on make they could excessivly toe in or out..

Like i say ask vegasPhil he posted pictures too.

tbh i had 7 min toe out both sides after raising suspension. drove car over 200 miles. aint worn them and its had its head kicked in and drove like shit. still aint worn a softer compound r888 like in 5 miles like someone said.
