Through various web articles, magazines etc i have heard that the new Corsa OPC is powered by a new 1.6 Turbo lump. Whats the beef on this 1.6? Is it similar in any way to the 16XE? Could it be a revised version of the 16XEL seen in the Astra mk4? What i am trying to say is, could a turbo from this motor be sourced brand new and fitted to the 16XE lump when the car is released later this year?

if it was possible u would need more than just the turbo.
u need half the engine, head, manifolds, turbo, hoses, ecu, probably uprated internals too.

Hmmmm, sooo tempting. 170bhp in a car that weighs a tad over a tonne! I can eat my dads ST170 for breakfast! Unless he gets his damned Foci RS. In which case i would plump for a fatter turbo and strip the bitch! Stop dreaming dave...

yeah my dad wants to chip his ST, i told him not to bother and just get it turbo'd, RS stylee, not much would need uprating since the ST is uprated anyhow from stock 2.0.
