I will laugh whole heartedly as it'll be Micheal Owen all over again. SWP was brilliant for Man City before he took the cash at Chelsea. Never been the same.

Agree he is going to be an awesome first team player IMO.

Defence is fine as long as the Spaniards keep their mits off Vidic.
Midfield has plenty options but could do with someone else coming in
Forward is required although I rate Berbatov united are just lacking something when Rooney doesn't play.

Sod the Villa story, this is bigger news!

Crewe have sold 2 of their new brightest players to Derby, thought to be £1m-ish for the 2, still not too bad for a very poor league 2 team.

Clough had been after Brayford for a couple of years since selling him to Crewe from Burton.

So another few years down in the duldrums of the football league probably.
