did u check the offset before you bought them?

the main reason for needing arch work is because of the offset, not the size!

well then go back to Halfords and get the scraggly wee cúnt who said they would fit without rubbing, get him to fit them theyre and then, and go for a test drive with him

Halfords are only interested in your money & not you yourself

I have 15" fox wheels cos I knew that 16's would rub, mine are the premier 4's et38. Had a full loadin mine with no rubbing at all. So get 15's with 195/45 rubber and then lower it -40mm.

It's definately the offset i've got 17's with a 35mm drop and i've not needed any arch work cos they're et45. the best thing to do is get your money back and buy some wheels with a higher offset.

They said they'll fit, so they'll make them fit... And I'm not paying!!!!!!!

Am I right in thinking that the offset is ET49 (standard wheels) so an offset of 35 will be 14mm further out of the arches??? 14mm doesn't seem a lot?

6.5" wheels + 14mm = just over 7" which should fit in the arch???

yeah but it moves the tyres out aswell.
i had 15's et 42 and they rubbed like buggery. u will have to cut the metal away with a jigsaw to make them go on the back without rubbing continuosly. the front will need similar surgery. take them back and say they sold you the wrong wheels.
