is it a 1 piece crank, or 3? if it's 1 you have to take the whole thing out...

need a crank extractor they screw into the crank on by the BB and then you screw the middle and it pops off

3 Piece. Take out bolt and put a crank arm extractor in. Cost about £10-15

Either that or just pull really hard, its not recomended though as you will go flying!

Or you could take it to ure local bike shop when they are not busy and they will probably do it there and then if they are any good.

Why do you want to take it off anyway?

crank extractor or risk more damage which will end up with you regretting not doing it properly

When you look into the hole where you took out the bolt is there a sqauare shape axel or one with a toothed edge?

As this will effect what crank extractor you need. (square taper or issis)
