Ive Really Started to get in to the world of detailing But im looking for some advice my Black Leon cupra R has Lots of little spider webs & little swirls along with some very light surface scratchs..Now this was all done By the Previous owner but im wanting to get it back to or near to its former glory...

So far the bits i have are:

1x Mequiers Clay Bar Kit
1x Mequiers Sweal Ex Kit
1x AutoGlym High Resin polish
1x Meguiers Tech 2.0 wax..

now my question is there anything out there that can Cover or get rid of swirls ect the Swirl Ex Just fills the defects with SRP so it looks perfect untill you was it again and then your hard work has been for nothing..

I know i don't have alot of ''Kit'' for detailing but i defo want to get the ball rolling..

anyideas..

thanks

You'll only get swirls out with a machine polisher - dual action or rotary.

VAG paintwork is bastard hard though so will take a LOT of passes with a DA, but is far safer for a noob.

Any products by hand will just fill. Poorboys Black Hole or AG SRP are the easiest 2 to work with.

Poorboys Blue with Carnuba polish topped with Collinite 915 Wax. Very deep finish, with decent durability thrown in

I could have supplied the applicators, PB polish, PB Wax and wash mitt!

Colli 476s is fine, the 915 is the same wax but with more carnuba so gives a deeper finish.

Black Hole and SRP will not last any longer than one wash without anything over the top of them.

Thats #83 isn't it mate?

83 on a burgandy pad or 85 with a burgandy pad. Alternatively Menz Power Gloss on a Menz orange pad.

Any of those will then need refining afterwards though. Follow the Megs ones up with 80 on a buff or black pad, or the Menz with PO85RD on a finishing pad of your choice.
