yes well running a system with minimal water is bad for it aswell as running it with no water

he said it over heated and had minimal or no water in it
meaning the headgasket would go
therefore wills fault

im not being nasty to you will or anything but you cant try and blame someone else when you where the one at fault

I really cant see why Will is too blame, If the cars exspansion tank still had water in there, Then obviously when the car got hot, It took as much water as needed and there was still some left in the exspansion tank?

Therefore if there was water still in the exspansion tank, It WOULD NOT just make the headgasket go like that.

Will is only curious as too now hes not reiceiving any reply regards to when the headgasket was done with recipts?

Hes more bothered about why it went Rather then whos to blame. He cant compensate anything due to being sold a 10year old car? The cars atm got the head off waiting to be pressure tested and skimmed.

END OF.

The question I have to ask myself is why the car is loosing water? Why did the headgasket go? Why was the car overheating

Heads been sent off to be tested and then skimmed if ok.
Gaskets etc, have turned up

Just went and looked - RUST basically has eaten through the headgasket, So its not been run with any anti-freeze!!!!

The point is, will said his car was constantly running at 100

The reason the car lost coolant was the radiator burst

Im not attacking will in any way, its just the way hes going about it is stupid

So as i said, headgasket was done perfectly, Its impossible for it to be fine for months and then just go for no reason due to it not being done right....
I dont have any receipts for my head gaskets, as i done them myself, Jack had them done by a friend so no receipts to be shown!

No anti-freeze will eat the head gasket, hope your replacing the water pump too, maybe the cambelt too?. Jack might have not known better and just put water in it after doing some work on it, as has been said hes not massively car minded.

I also believe will is blameless in this, it has never said once in this thread that the radiator burst or was let to overheat just that it was running hot.
But on the other hand its hardly the previous owners fault if he hasnt done the work himself.

And yes, I have just had a new rad, the garage thought that was the problem. after they fitted it went down to like 1/4.. but yesterday it went back to 100 (full)

Well tbh it would of been loosing water before Will bought it, Which wud of been noticable, And the fact its gone is because its been run on water rather then added anti-freeze for awhile.
