The are an absolute joke. Firstly i know very little about cars..

My sister bought a Punto from them after me advising she could get a lower mileage one or beter plate for £1500 - 2k less. She loved the car and bought it anyway cash.

The servicing deal looked good for £6 a month and she would get the car serviced every 12 months as she works local.

She got the car serviced and i gave it the once over and noticed the oil was a dark black and told her to take it back. She was busy with her bf and work etc so that never happened.

A week or so later the car got a recall. She took it in to FIAT where she was told the brake pads were fucked, the oil had not been changed in the 20k the car had done and the rad was cracked. She ended up with a £200 service bill and FIAT put the rest of the issues correct for her after she flashed some flesh..

Load of monkeys!!

Sorry, different cars, different leagues, but £35k gets you some very nice cars, and a Ford Focus, no matter if its gold plated, would not be on my list.

Dammm even the VXR-S/R whichever has 300bhp, is like £8k cheaper isn't it?? Thats a Sports bike for summer days in change!!!

people get desperate and just dive in.

if you sign up to finance then you get what you deserve tbh, it's not like they don't tell you the total repayable

Fucking hell that is mad.

And I agree, that should be made illegal. No wonder the country is so fucked.

And Andrew - your sister is lucky they honoured the warranty - could have easily not done so if it was not on FSH.

We did a quote for someone who did finance like this, they had a ridiculously high APR, but sold on the principle that it's "simple, for every £100 we lend, we charge £25",

Indeed. She had to pay to have the warranty transfered over to herself as well as carcraft didn't do this either...

My birds got a Corsa C from carcraft, her dad got it for her 18th which was nearly 3 years ago now and its on a 54 plate and was £5k before all the interest, I dunno how much its all came to in the end like but I imagine something ridiculous, her dads paying it so shes not bothered, oh yeh, and she still hasn't passed her test she hasnt even attempted to! I find it daft parents buying cars before they've even passed their test.

They aim to sell to people who suck at life and think ooh I can own a focus st for however much a month and not think about how much it will fuck them up or what they will end up paying.

Interest rates are stupid sometimes. I was watching one of those consolidation adverts the other day. The interest rate came up in bold, it was something stupid like 3500% interest!!!!!!!

So that APR seems quite low. Not that i'd ever use that company.

A lad I used to be mates with came back from his first foreign posting in the army, got off the plane at Manchester, went to Carcraft, bought a 4 door 1.4 Clio on finance over 5 or 6 years then wrote it off a few months later but the insurance pay out didn't cover anything like the amount he owed on the car This was about 6-7 years ago. Must of lost his marbles whilst away in the army!

You can get GAP insurance that clears the rest of the finance in the event of a crash or theft.

I can't see any problem with them offering these sorts of deals really.

If you're stupid enough to buy a car from them on a deal like that then you deserve it to cost you a fortune. Might teach them a lesson for next time.

Thats not all you pay aswell

Have a look around the car, Usually in another window it woll say something like "This car is subject to a £99 acceptance fee"

I went in the other week just to waste a bit of time, and was bored. Let him go through his spool on a car and as he went for the keys made a swift exit.

Also while i was there, Turend a few car radios on and turned them down. Just wait for them to go and try to start that infront of a potential mug, sorry, customer.
