Those with a vauxhall, I highly recommend getting this bit of kit

Got it for my astra as the airbag light was on, found the fault for that and reset the light no problems.

Friends GSI had problems with the lambda, found all the faults and reset them. Also found faults with the ESP, which he can how fix.

I got it from here:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160404766220

And downloaded the software from here:

http://www.tek-tronics.co.uk/OP-Com.zip

Also has nice features where you can monitor the running of the car, throttle position etc etc.

I keep looking at it but loads of stuff doesn't work right on the newer cars apparently, same used to happen with dodgy vag-com copies.

Op-com is really good, the garage i used to work at got it just before i left and you can read alot of things you cant read with a normal scanner. you can re-programme keys if you have the code for the key too. worth every penny

Did the garage have the proper op-com, that's quite a bit more expensive.

obviously, but a check engine/ spanner light on the dash isn't a clear enough indication for some as to which of the many sensors/ parts have failed

Then why did you say you wanted to buy one to turn your airbag light off?

well if your already going to be spending the money why not get something that can turn off all types of lights, or atleast read all types of faults instead of just engine related stuff

assuming you dont know removing one of the front seats can sometimes turn on the airbag light which will then set you back £59 or so to get reset at your local vauxhall
