The clash with his training schedule was apparently an appointment with a specialist and he will be playing in the next reserve game....

I believe what they're saying, having been through a similar injury and rehab program myself, I can tell you it's one of them things where you can feel yourself getting better and you only need one day where the fluid on your tendons isn't 100% and it sets you back a fair bit, I developed tendonitis in my knee when my ACL went pop due all the swelling stopping my tendons being lubricated, so after I recover from my initial injury I was left with 2 conditions in my knee after, 1) tendonitis 2) pre-patellar bursitis

Going onto Hargreaves case, the physios will have quite likely asked him to report back every day to see what he feels in that knee, wether or not it is stiff, hot or wether it clicks when he bends it which is why they maybe pulled him out of the reserve game.

Back in training with the 1st team.... has to have injections for the pain though. Surely its not a good idea for him to be playing if its painful? They know better than I do though!
