Emission limits will prob be the same for both. I would change plugs, put a fuel cleaner through th tank and take it for a good thrashing! They are nor very far out. Make sure it very hot before you re-test it.

It faiiled on both sides for chop springs, failed both sides also cause they fell out, failed both lights cause not electric adjuster in there, and emmsions which is fair enough

the emissions are too far off, give the car a good ragging before MOT. That'll clear out any crap, and headed system should help i heard?

Also dispute the chopped springs.

You can't fail for having no electric adjusters in the headlights, as long as you can adjust them, you pass. Seems like a strange MOT centre there.

The adjusters are on the motors though, which is what I found out today, some adjusters on top of the light, some on the motor

My yellow XSI was around the same readings for the emissions. Gave it a beating that probably shortened the engine life by a few thousand miles, sailed through the second time.

I think I will just replace lambda then get emmsions checked at a local garage, before I take for re-test. If my cat was fucked and put new lambda on it, would it mess the new lambda up aswell?

Will be getting a new cat for £50 delivered. I think its probably the cat, as old engine was connected to same cat, and that was thowing petrol at the back actaul drips shit loads of smoke, probably fucked it up.
No point getting gap between downpipe and cat welded, then finding out, it still failes, and having to start again
