Got one front fog not working and I have my mot tomorrow, will it fail for it? Should I tape over them both or something?

Not sure you can, it's a 306, thought you had to get a new unit, could be wrong. I don't use them, just want to car to pass. Might have a word with him see if it will let it go since he's sound, obviously the bulb went after he checked, these things do happen.

This.

My Ibiza failed because I had them and they didn't work.

Front fog lights aren't tested. Neither have to work, even if they're fitted.

If you want to be double-y sure, put a piece of tape over the switch.

I tested a BMW 318i with front fogs fitted and no switch, no trouble at all.

And I always like to give the tester a pep talk before they start.

Well I was straight up lied to then. Luckily it was just an earthing problem on mine and cost nothing to correct.

I would probably fail you on that basis.

I understood that if they were fitted, they had to be functional, same as your spare wheel. Could be wrong.

My front fogs weren't tested at my last one. I always thought with the reverse light, If fitted must work.
