Our new house has come with a new fitted kitchen not to our design but a very lovely one but the only problem we have is there isnt anywhere for a fridge freezer the way the kitchen has been designed its under work top items only..

We have a fridge freezer so need somewhere to place this, Theres a large cupboard in the kitchen where the heating system is would the fridge freezer be ok in there with door closed or do they need fresh air into them to keep them cool ect?

No idea about things like this so any help would be great

Thanks.

The way the freezer works to the movement of compressed gas, so the warm the cupboard the better in terms of thermal transfer.

So you will use less energy.

Freezer will most likely not fit in as it will be 600mm and the internal size of the cupboard will be 564mm

Other option is to chop the worktop to fit in the fridge freezer.

Ours was like that, three undercounter spaces, one of which was on the end with no cabinet above, just chopped the worktop and slotted the FF in.

That's not how a freezer works though. It works using the heat pump principle. You want to keep the back of it away from the wall, anything else behind there and it needs a good air circulation for it to work safely. You'll notice that most people who have done similar usually have to drill holes in the panel at the bottom of the cupboard and not have the top of it covered, this lets convection do its job.
