strange how the thread on mig is gone and now only a locked topic. they protected him for years with his awful service by locking and deleting anything bad said about the company. migweb contributed in people getting screwed out of cash and now those that have wont be allowed tomention it on there.

because all bad press was deleted off mig so most people didnt know about the poor service and anything they said got deleted. i bought once and waited couple months andprobably if i hadnt rang every few days i would still be waiting.

You know if your business is going to go under, taking peoples money during that time is wrong and imo screams 'scam' how will he pay it all back if he has no money?

That is something that really drives me mental! There are so many people who run their business like that; they will tell you its in stock to get your order (your business) and then it will be back ordered or drop-shipped or there will be some kind of lead-time they haven't told you about.

You can't sustain a business like that but people wont learn!

I dealt with a guy years ago who restored classic cars, he was one of the best but he tried to do everything buy himself and he couldnt keep up, with the workman ship he produced you would expect him to have an amazing reputation but sadly it took him several months longer than he quoted to complete each job.

Some people need to wake up and smell the roses and stop living in denial because eventually they shaft themselves.

I understand the whole ordering things and nothing being in stock from the sellers perspective, our online family business has the same issues but its due to stock levels not being correct at times, HOWEVER as soon as we find out that the stock isnt in, we offer the customer a like-for-like product or a refund instantly. Not refunding people and then giving them a long ass wait is bullllshitttt.

I've spoken to him a few times over the phone asking various questions about parts and he always seemed really helpful.
When i ordered something that was in stock it was over a month before being sent... so by the sounds of it, nothing new there but i wouldn't wish anybody to loose their home over it.

If people have ordered by credit card or paypal, you can claim money back, its not the end of the world.

If he has lost his home through running his buisness poorely you really cant have symopathy for him, doesnt really sound as if it was the "credit crunch" that caused it rather his poor managment

thing is, at one time he was highly respected for what he offered and the prices he did them at. there is a demand for such items still. quite a lot of people still do conversions, plus all the other stuff he sold was good value. its not as if the business itself couldnt succeed.

TBH who else is there that offers the parts that he did? Theres LMF and courtenay but to me they dont have that "specialist" conversion feel that CAM had.

I personally never had a problem with anything i ordered from him. I think the longest i had to wait for a part was a week, but i wasnt really fussed as i wasnt able to do anything at the time anyway. It is crap regarding stock and such long lead times on him getting the parts to people however. If you've got it, good, send it out, if not, say and take the hit.

i hear what ppl are saying about his convertion parts and stuf like that, it is what we want. cam could have been sutch a good setup for every one if it had been run properly and he had been straight with every one. sorry about having a rant but i was so pissed about it all but i have chilled out a bit now.

i ordered 1 thing from him once. Never answered emails and calls. Took an age to get here, again it was described as in stock. Decided straight after it was all forum bumming and vowed never to order from them again. Rubbish service

Just goes to show that you can't make a living selling niche parts for Corsa's.
