was at the scrap yard today got some £free 2litre brakes from a vectra sri 2.0 16v w-reg.. SCORE!!

question:-

they were 5 stud set up though? i want them to go on 4 stud corsa b so can i just get some 4 stud 2 litre discs and will the calipers be the same? and work fine etc? i also want drilled and grooved discs (4 stud!) whats the best ones to go for anyone no?

did vectra 2.0 16v come in 5 stud and 4 stud? (i have the full reg of the car aswel) and got the 5 stud discs for size to compare,

not really clued up on brakes never been my thing with cars sorry in advance

there going to be 288mm brakes o your gonna have to get the discs drill to 4 stud to suit the corsa and buy spogot rings to centre the discs once there on

all 2.0 vectras are 5 stud

so yes they will bolt on but yuo will need to get them drilled and use spigot rings to centre the disc for when you want ot put the wheel on

You can get predrilled discs from chris astley for around £60 or lmf for alot more, another option is using 284mm fiat coupe discs but the holes need filing out 2mm

The very early ones were 4 stud, that why you see the odd set of 4 stud sri wheels floating around

so i have got calipers from a "5 stud vectra"

if i buy 288mm "4 stud" discs? will the set up be ok? also long as the new discs i buy are 288mm and are for a 2.0 16v vauxhall I.E cav, calibra 4 stud discs will my calipers be fine to use??? because i am getting confused already

are these totally different kettle of fish to cav, calibra 2litre brakes? what am dealing with??

all i need is 2litre brake set up on my car

you need to go buy vectra discs and get them drilled, 2.0 16v discs in 4 stud are 256mm and you need 288mm, also you could use fiat coupe discs without drilling but there 284mm so slightly smaller

You can drill them yourself with the template online. That how I do mine. I buy the trade club discs at pads from Vauxhall for £55 then drill the discs.
