I used to love playstations, then tried an xbox, controllers feel so much better IMO, playstation controllers feel cramped, plasticky and unnatural.
Wouldn't mind the bluray player though.

I own a PS3 and i love it, always been biased towards to sony. at my mums my brothers have both and i do like the xbox mainly becuase of its price. If i had ytheoption again i would still choose the ps3 but there are several games i do wish i had that are only on the 360 i.e. forza and halo to name 2

360- Better Exclusives, Better online play(granted there is a charge but the console itself is far cheaper), Better controllers(even from having playstations since day one and never having the original xbox).
PS3- Blu-Ray, Some good exclusives(Unchartered), Expensive if you dont watch Blu-Rays, Wireless built in and free internet, rechargeable controllers(but still unnatural cheap and weightless)
I own both but if i had to choose one it would be the one i play the most and as a Sony Fanboy- Xbox.

I am selling my ps3 rather than my 360. Because XBL is so good! And the PS3 online was very laggy [for me anyway]; also, I didn't fancy paying £50+ for a silly headset that makes you look like a buttpirate.

Im no fanboy and have nothing against the PS3 or its users.
I purchased my xbox when the PS3 wasnt around, i had a PS2 originaly and every game i purchased was shite, the dvd player was shite, it was noisy and i got so bored with it i sold it, Then got an xbox and couldnt beleive how much better everything was about it.
SO upgraded to a 360 and loved it. Downsides are obviously the aditional subscription and purchase of the wifi bit.
I despise playstation controllers, they are just too small and fiddly for my hands. Also the d pad is so so so uncomfortable (the non analouge bit) So im happy with my Xbox i did think the launch PS3 looked very cool tho!

I love these threads. It's basically all down to personal preference and yet people keep saying PS3 is shit, Xbox 360 is shit etc. If I'm being honest, both are shit. Yes they are the next generation of gaming, but for the amount you have to spend on one, you wouldn't expect it to break down every 5 minutes. Be it RROD, or the PS3 equivilent. My brother got one of the first 360's and that thing broke down instantly. Before we even knew what the RROD was

ps3 is the superior machine.
but people will buy what their mates have so they can play with them (usually 360).
i got my 360 for the GTA IV exclusive episodes

I wouldn't be without my PS3 now. As an entertainment machine its brilliant.
I use it for freeview viewing/recording (PlayTV), video player (wired to a media centre) or I can transfer files by USB plus DVD/Blu ray player. Even for £300 or whatever I paid for it, I think its a bargain.
I don't own any games for it though
