you should be able to sell it, just wait for the logbook to come back then send it back off with the new keepers details, or you could wait abit longer before selling as it only takes around 10 days for all the documents to come back, hope thats helps abit

Not really meant to mate as the DVLA have your log book, MOT and need a new tax disc. Also they may request an inspection of the vehicle. All depends if the new buyer is happy to buy it with that missing.

Private plates are a royal pain in the arse!

yes mate can get very messy

shouldnt take too long to get your retnetion certificate and new log book

If you sell the car then just agree that you will wait until you receive the log book before exchanging car for money

You can only do it one way mate, I just had to do the exact same on both mine and the wifes car.

If you need it done asap then take the V5 doc, tax disc and MOT down to the local dvla office and fill in the relevant form. They will give you a new MOT cert and tax disc there and then and you will have to wait till the V5 comes back in the original reg number. You can still dell the car but the person buying will have to do without the V5 till then, thats where you can offer him a reciept with the info saying so. It will have to be a trust thing between the 2 of yous.

Thats the only way it can be done.
