Is it only me that sees that as a waste of time and effort? Everything you've done and all the polluting chemicals to make it, and now just scrapping the car?
Fair enough you probably wouldn't get £2000 if you sold it, still seems bonkers. Especially as new car prices have generally gone up about £2k anyway

Scrappage scheme is precisely that. A scheme.

I'll dig up so more pics I have of your car later Jenko, I wanna see Matt's pics too.
Our scrappgae scheme seems to have worked well, not seen many horror stories of minters going to heaven. The American 'Cash for Clunkers' scheme bought a tear to my eye when I researched what people had traded in, such as a 2005 Harley Davidson F-150 for $2,000

It's basically a confidence trick though Pete.
Retailers have stuck a couple of grand or thereabouts on the price of any car likely to be eligable, so...
1) you lose your car.
2) You get naff all for it.
3) Potentail future classics are obliterated from existance.
4) UK dealers get to sell more foreign car brands and boost the economies of other countries.
Have a look at the price of a Citroen C1. The last time I checked, they had mystically shot up to over eight grand. The thieving lying wankers.
They were £6,500.00 about two or three years ago before any kind of discount and the quivalent Toyota and Peugeot were no more than seven grand. It's a farce.
What's all this about the Yanks pete? I'm not familiar.

Exactly Jim.
There was a Panorama type program about it, apparently dealers "had to increase prices in line with inflation", must have been coincidence that inflation caused a £2000 increase on the price of any eligible SS car.
Hmm, I meant scrappage scheme, not "SS" as in staff cars with flags on.

Was she the registered owner of the corsa then? Reason is i know that at vx dealers the registered owner of the scrappage car must be the registered owner of the new car. We got pulled up on our sales audit for this.
