I am swapping my 1.2 8valve to the 1.4 8v sri engine does any1 know what insurance companys will cover this, any1 have experience with bell insurance?

Unless you're getting the engine dirt cheap/free, is it really worth it? There's an SRi (later X14XE) in Classifieds for £700. Even if you just scrapped your car it wouldn't cost that much for a higher spec, quicker car.

A mate of mine has got a very quick c16xe engine already on 8v mounts, got ecu, loom and everything tto go straight into yours.

Think he's after about 300 ish for it and your local.

he has got the engine already and yes he got it cheap

he bought a whole sri for £100 but the shell was rotten

Yeah like lee said i've already got the engine gearbox loom etc and it was dirt cheap, it will do me 4 now as its a big improvement to the 1.2 lol plus still need abit of economy as travel 80 miles aday 2 work, btw cheers for the companys, will have a look,
