Would you buy a 07 plate with 80K miles on it?
Im looking at a car this weekend but duno about the 80K miles, its had a cam belt change and got FSH, one owner.

take it, it's either been a taxi or a sales rep car with motorway mileage on it?

Probably not but only because id want to sell it on again 6 months later & know it would be a cunt to shift!!

Is it cheap to warrant 60k over average miles?? If avg ones £10k i'd be wanting to pay circa 7k for a high mile one.

well its not the cheepest thing arround £13,500 but one with 28K miles and less spec is up for £18K

tbh it will probably run as well as a 20-30k one.

Ive had high mileage cars & they have been no problem at all.

If your going to keep it a while then value doesnt come into it as much.

Just get it.

My Astr was high miles when I bought it

I don't use it much as I have the corsa too, so it's around average now

3k miles in 3 years

What....1k mile a year? Is there any point having it...serious question!!

I was considering getting rid of mine as Im struggling to warrant having a 20k car sat on the drive hardly turning a wheel!!

My w reg van has 65k on the clock. Was 62k 3 weeks ago. This means it has stood most of it's life and been driven on short runs. I know a little history about how it has done 40k since 1991, been driven on short town runs and given death by about 20 different drivers. Rarely got serviced as well.. Surprised it still goes tbh.

My pug has done 50k in 2 years all by myself. It's been serviced regularly and driven fairly hard up and down the motorway. However, will go forever as the engine has always been up to temp and never driven anything over 4.5 rpm for any length of time.

Which would you buy? I'd go for pug, given it's had one driver and done lots of motorway miles / service regularly.

Saying this, i'm stuggling to sell the pug due to mileage and the fact it's an average car..

This Audi if cheap would be a decent buy if you plan on doing a lot of miles and just want a nice reliable car. Again, you will struggle to sell on..

As for those driving 1k a year. Get a fuckin bus pass!!

if i had driven that many miles in 2.5 years the cruse controle would of been on for 90% of its life!
We will see on Sat when i have a look at it.

Can anyone think of anything to look out for or listen for, never had a TDI before.

Because no company car is respected. And no-one doing that amount of miles would be using it as a personal car. Unless it has been going to the Alps and back all year.

What engine is it? 140 / 170??
