A guy at my work is selling his, don't really have an awful lot of info on it, never really enquired as they never have interested me before but it got me curious when he said it was RR'd @ near 200bhp. Just wondering what these cars are like to live with, handling etc.. and what one with 200bhp might be like (a comparison to another car in terms of speed might help)
Cheers

Could be a pre facelift JCW with 200bhp(post had 210). Then again 200 bhp is easily achievable for under £200 on a standard cooper S(17% pulley, Plugs,Dave.f Filter)

Plenty on youtube, search 15% or 17% pulley cooper S, if you can find one with a GTT or similar filter the noise is

Is that on a 'normal' HP type agreement or a private short term lease with no option to buy? What sort of deals can you get on a cooper s if you are talking about the latter?

private lease, 3 yr deal with option to hand back, get a new car or purchase.
Coming in at just under £300 inc VAT for a basic Cooper S
I think with the options id want would probably end up around £360

Who's that with, does that include a big fee to set-up? I've looked at a few contract hire websites but it's all very confusing. My brother has got a good deal through a friend who works at vauxhall (some kind of friend and family lease offer), he's currently got an astra sri turbo for about £250 a month but no fee to set-up and can swap every 7 months. I need to find a friend who works for vauxhall

Nationwide vehicle contracts.
intial deposit was about £800 iirc
Not sure if there are any hidden costs.
To get anything juicy on lease you need to be looking at £400 ish imo.

They are big car up front, you wont look out of place in it.
Unless you sit in the back but then you'd need to have your legs removed.

They are a laugh to drive, I've not been in a Cooper S but have driven a Cooper and it was really good fun! I'm 6ft 3ish and there was bags of room in the front.
Just had a look at that Nationwide Vehicle Contracts site and the prices they have for a new A3 to replace mine are better than I can find elsewhere and with a smaller deposit!

Ive just been looking around one in the local mini dealers.
White JCW on an 08 plate. Dare I say it I think it looks cooler than my M3.
Even took pic's on my phone to show jade to convince her to buy it, I liked it that much!!

I despise stripes of any sort. That ones very nice. I am at a loss though why they have never done a bright white like BMW alpine white on the mini....surely that would sell by the dozen?

09 JCW will be more than your M3 surely? Less on insurance though(unless your putting Jade on in which case it will be stupid).
Edit to agree on stripe(one big wide one down the middle) and defo black roof, one at work like this and looks
Also, on the pure white, mine has been resprayed in alpine white however its the R53 not the R56, pics will be put up soon once finished.
