fully rebuilt, new high comp pistons, new rings, knife edged crank, coscast head, bronse vaulve gides, double springs, kent fast road cams, kent pullys, red sarb injectors, bigger throttle body polished, 10mm leads, iridium spark plugs, pvd cossie filter, vetra gsi fuel pump, fse power boost vaulve, custom bigger 4-2-1, 2 1/2 exhaust straight through,
not calling the lad a liar, just think the power is a bit optimistic without throttle bodies.....

Most of that will make it more reliable with big power, but won't actually increase it. But yeah, won't be anywhere near 200bhp.

Theres a local lad who used to claim his XE was over 300bhp (How I laughed) and theres another local lad who owns this piece of crap (which even has a fake roll-cage). He's quoted as saying its running over 200bhp in the past

Yep!
Owner says its a cut up vectra cage, but I cant see a main hoop or anything that looks like a 'proper' cage so I still think its piece of a cut up gate

Just been outside and sprayed 1.4 Flair on my battery and iv got a couple of 16v stickers orderd off ebay il take you out in it this weekend if i get them fitted mate

if got hi comp pistons he'd of spent alot more on the engine, pistons with overbore would be about £600.
doesnt say anything about chips or standalone so id got for 170-175 tops.
i know a lad with an all steel xe 288cams, headwork, etc etc, fairly decent spec, makes 148at wheels...still on single tb as its a road rally car.
stew's robin made 148@wheels with 45's and headwork on a fresh build.
so you can see the dif between a single choke and 4 chokes so to speak
