Whats the laws on driving with no back bumper? im getting mine and the arches sprayed so im not sure if I can drive without one or if I need to buy another one? cheers

No idea, but I personally wouldn't do it. What if someone bumps into your car, or backs into it or something without the bumper on? Not the risk I'd want to run.

I drove round without a front bumper on my 172 for 4 days, and had to drive without a rear bumper or arches on my B until I could be arsed to go n get a standard bumper and new arches

I drove mine to the bodyshop like this before (about 20 miles too)

Front bumper I can understand, due to pedestrians and stuff. Rear I wouldn't have thought would cause too much concern. That's what I'd be saying to PC plod anyway.

I drove my gsi around with no bumper for a week, can't remember why but i'm sure there was a good reason.

That was commutting from Wirral -> Liverpool through the tunnel and I was never pulled for it.

im driving mine about with no arch trims on have done for the last month or so (cant afford new ones) not had a problem and previos to that i used to drive my gsi round without a front bumper as it was buggered.

as long as you cover the sharp edges there shouldnt be a problem

gaffer tape any sharp edges, or put your foot down and hope its only a 1.3cdti astra panda car

Drove my old corsa around for about a month with no back bumper, had police behind me a couple of times, never got pulled.
