2.1 c20xe
forged marley pistons
kent cams
head ported and polished
new valve guides and stemseals
new bottom end shells
arp bottom end bolts
8mm high perfomance leads
f16 gearbox
twin 45 webbers carburettors with inlet manifold and fuel king filter
full powerflow exhaust
are there any obvious questions i need to ask about it/details to check etc? it's apparently all up and running (in a corsa) - i'll be able to test drive the engine beforehand too.
what would you pay for an xe with this spec?
also, roughly what sort of bhp/torque would it be?
cheers

It says forged pistons, but what about the rods? And are the pistons high comp or low comp, for n/a high comps needed.

Well, I thought I recognised it, and after seeing he's from kent. I probably do. The engine has definatly been run in from what ive seen. The ban was always going to happen
He says he has receipts for the engine, so all should be ok with abit of luck.

Hold on. When this was last out, a couple of weekends ago, it kept breaking and was getting towed past us, and then was flying past again. Maybe not the best option if your going for reliability.

ahhh right, i don't want something unreliable... but i do really like the look of this car. it's going to be in the garage 90% of the time, but needs to work for shows/track days etc
pick4d; was that on a track?

i remember the car as there was 3 white quick bs that use to go about, 2xes and a v6
only think to do is go and have a look at it, look for usual b issues, tbh if its still local i'll go to if you want a 2d, 3rd, 4th opinion etc

170-180 is a fare esitmate i would think, does it sat what manifold its on ?
jamie&nikki off here was running 201bhp on his xe on twin 45's wasnt alot diffrent spec wise to that, bar a sbd manifold, and a very well built engine, higher spec head though

if it is a 2.1 piston sizes would back that up, perhaps a warranty or reciept, you may be able to see something on the cams through the oil cap (i think), the rest of the stuff regarding the head you would only know if you pulled it apart, if you get it let me know though

looking at it, just saying it turned out to be good buy
buy the sbd type c manifold for sale on here
buy a mejajolt or similar mapable ignition ecu (£200ish)
get it fitted and set up, and possible make it less restrictive where the trumpets are, and it could be a weapon
