what are people's opinions on these? engine wise? performance? reliability?

im looking to get a 5door because of having a little 1 on the way and dnt think the corsa turbo is economical lol. i dont want to go to a borin 5door mondeo diesel i want something with a bit of poke like this 1

Decent enough cars.

But for the money there's a lot better out there. imo

My mate has one, nice car basically the same as a 1.6 vti (160bhp) with some cosmetic JDM parts IIRC. They have more exclusivity but are pretty much the same.
Only a little slower than my type r too!

All 5 door vti's are b18 except the early eg 5 door its a 1.6

good cars, pull better than the b16 equivalents interior is half leather and pretty comfy, all leccy windows, sunroof etc.

That shape will have the 1.8 engine as stated with 180bhp.

if you're looking at these have you thought about the accord type r. prices start at 3 grandish. probably not a whole lot less economical than one of these if driven properly

thanx for your opinion's guys. im looking in the dark with these because i dont know where to start with honda's as iv always had vauxhall's. is there any common fault's i need to look out for when im viewing one of these? yes andy i have had a look at the accord but it seems a bit bigger than the vtis. i know it dosnt seem a great deal in size but im not a fan of big cars.

only faults i know of are
Rusting where the rear bumper meeats the arch.
Bushes go in suspension
Engines will go forever but the can leak oil a bit if its had a hard life.

Thats about it, i personally realy like them i was thinking of when i get my next car i want to get the vti aerodec model with the body kit, drop it 50mm and do a few engine bits

Rust in any corners of the bodywork,rear bumper meets panelling. Front bumper meeting the wings and bottom of doors.
