hi there im building a new project at the moment , iv got an xe and r1 bike carbs , just need a little help so its not a nightmare to get running , as for ecu you dont need one? engine loom is just modify the original in the car? other things im stuck on is i read chrex said you need a vacuum dizzy , and will i need a fuel pressure reg? just add anything that ill need to do. many thanks

you need ignition only management, mk2 cav works..or you could buy a stand alone equivalent...also I have seen people do it before by modifying the original xe loom and bypass the injectors.

h&h ignition solutions do a complete kit to put run carbs on the 20xe

well you dont need an engine loom. you just need a starting and charging loom.
The dizzy is available off ebay and is about £50 delievered. i rang H&H solutions and they gave me the lucas number for the dizzy cap i needed - but is the same as a pug 205 1litre.
You will still need to get a ballast though, and whether H&H will sell you this seperate i dont know as thats the pain to get hold of.
As phil says - H&H do a kit for £250 which has everything in it 
i used two pressure regulators - a fuel king one to drop from the pump pressure to 5psi, and then from 5psi to 3psi using a sytec one from tweeks.

i was looking at carbs once,give bog bro's a ring.they gave me alot of help and have everything you will need to do the conversion.only problem with carbs is they will run differnt everyday.
