Hi All

Quick question i need answering if possible. I'm looking at buying a car later on which is 22 mile from my house. If i insure the car car i drive it home with valid mot but no tax?

The owner cannot tax it as hes at work and wont be home untill 6,and i cant do it today as i wont have it registered in my name on the v5

Thanks in advance

you can tax it mark, you use the little green slip you get with it from v5 and your certificate of insurance

if you dont want to tow it, why dont you go and see it tonight leave a deposite and get him to tax it tomoz (if he can) and collect it in a few days?

i know its a pain going there a few times but it saves gettin caught with no tax

it wont be in your name if taxed online so tax disc would be sent to the current owner, he would have to send it on to you or you pick it up when it arrives
