To me it sounds like the Glanzas whacked it down into second and nailed it and the Evo is sitting in 4th

Looks to me like the Glanza destroyed it tbh.
If it does run a true 317bhp then the Evo wouldnt stand a chance from a rolling start. The Glanza seems to boost like crazy when the turbo kicks in.

Where in the video can you hear the Evo is in a higher gear??I can only hear the Evo for a split second then the Glanza comes on boost and its off.Id say the Evo was in 3rd gear and hasnt came on boost and by the time he does, the glanza has wound up and away.

The Evo clearly isnt pottering along, look at the start of the vid when he hits the slip road he gives it some beans.Doubt he would slip it into 5th as he comes onto the dual carriage-way knowing the glanza is gonna try go for it.

i think quite a few people who have cars like evos etc will put there foot down till 80-90 then ease off cos they dont wanna loose licence!

but if the galanza is running that power and is prob around 8-900kg it will beat most thing on rolling start!

be lots of wheel spin off the traffic lights tho, hehehe

tbh that evo sounded flat as fuck...

sounded like he was in 4th and he didnt change down at all where as the starlet was maybe in second and on boost beore they started this little race..

and if you notice where they are going up the on ramp the evo boots it and so does the starlet.. starlet isnt catching it so i think you can say they would be evenly matched when both on boost and in the same gear.

lol so its a 300bhp or 300+bhp starlet Vs a 180bhp civic
now if that was a 1.8 turbo civic and the starlet did that i would be very very impressed

I just looked and 14 year old Glanzas with more than average miles are going for 4-5k for that money I'd be wanting somehing a little quicker and 4wd tbh, how come they hold their value so well?

They can be had for less.Seen them as low as £2.5k.

Young drivers think they are cheap insurance purely because they are 1.3s.But imports have a higher premium.

The Evo boots it 1st,then the starlet goes chasing,by that time the Evo has came off throttle.

The starlet catches it quicker than the Evo accelerates away.

Love the fact that everyone is making the assumption the evo wasnt trying , was in a high gear blah blah blah, so what clearly the Glanza is rapid! Starlets and Glanza can be made into monsters! Very good cars and have potential!
