You can fit a DV to your saxo in exactly the same way.

I had one. It was a fucking dog and I spent nearly a grand in 12 months keeping it on the road.

I had one for 2-3 years was spot on, the bits that did go wrong were solved with a trip to the scrap yard. Cheap motoring good mpg with a bit of power(not a lot but enough with a bit of a tweek). Easy to make look decent as well.

you still need to connect them to a 12v source to operate them as diesels have no vacumm so a current holds the dumpvalve shut and is opearted by a switch bolted to the clutch pedal that beaks the current when pressed giving you the impression a 600bhp skyline has just cahnged gear........or not

Get a decent 1 and they are good cars.
Not quick as standard but turn the fuel and boost up to a safe 1.2 bar and it transforms them.
I had mine running over 1.1 bar by just turning the fuelling up.Never missed a beat and pulled like fuk.Was a tad smokey tho lol.

You are reading it wrong, you could hook it up exactly the same on a saxo.

What way does a turbo work differently on a derv than on a petrol?

not a bad car, nippy for a diesel, quite like driving my mates. All i'd say is just be weary of shit electrics and air con pipes crack and aren't cheap to replace.

A diesel car doesnt have a throttle body, just the pump, so it doesnt need to expell excess boost via a dump valve, iirc.
